THE WALL OF HOPE.

The Berlin Wall came tumbling down. The summit of division no longer stands.

Men now rejoice with their barriers down. For unity and purpose, all now understand.

A divided people once in bondage held. They marched in isolation to the tune of discord.

Now united and free from their ties, they march upright with one accord.

Once with passion, the high towers they raised. Oppressed and dispirited, they cowered in shame,

Now with great vigor, the high roofs they raze

And with the spirit of one, they show their mane.

Once the wall, a symbol of hate. Atrocities untold, excuses did give.

Now it is no more, the blood not paste. And without, tolerance lives.

Once the wall O! death attended. And the people were made lost by the men

Now O! death no more attending,

The people now return to the inclusive main.

O! man, O! wall, O! land my home

My father, my friends, our future and our hope.
